This part of the ceremony is where the two of you make promises (vows) to each other. They are most often read or recited mid-way through the ceremony at the designated time. Many couples choose to write their own vows; doing so is a way to add your personality to the ceremony.

There are several ways you can incorporate this into your ceremony if you choose to do so.  Having the vows section is optional, and can be omitted if you desire.

If you choose to have me assist you in writing your vows I will have them pre-printed, and hand them to you to read at the appropriate part of the ceremony. On some occasions when the couple being married, have felt they won't be able to get through the vows they have written, they will have me read them instead.

Getting Married

I love you. You are my best friend. Today I give myself to you in marriage.

I promise to encourage and inspire you, to laugh with you, and to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle. I promise to love you in good times and in bad, when life seems easy and when it seems hard, and when our love is simple, and when it is an effort. I promise to cherish you, and to always hold you in highest regard. These things I give to you today, and all the days of our life.

Vows 2

I vow to love you and care for you as long as we both shall live.

I take you, with all of your faults and strengths, as I offer myself to you with my faults and strengths.

I choose you as the person with whom I will spend my life.

Vows 3

I ask that you be no other than yourself, as I love what I know of you and trust what I do not. I cherish you, for being all that you are, all that you are not, and all that you can be.
